Portrait sessions for couples, families and individuals.
I spent years chasing light as a landscape photographer, and I bring that patience to people: finding the right spot and the right hour, and then bringing slowness and gentle conversation to the shoot so you can forget about the lens pointing at you.
Have something more creative in mind? I love collaborating on artistic and conceptual portraits: an idea you’ve been sketching, a mood board, a costume, a double exposure. Bring the idea and we’ll work out together how to make it real.

These rates are for my first five bookings in each service, confirmed by 31 March 2027.

Questions
Where do sessions happen?
Outdoors is best, in a place you feel at ease and in your element: your home, a beach, the Port Hills, a favourite park. If you’re not sure, I’ll suggest spots with good light for the time of day.
What should we wear?
Clothes you feel like yourself in. Plain colours photograph better than busy patterns, and I’m happy to help you choose.
What if the weather turns?
We reschedule at no cost.
Can we do something more creative or unusual?
Yes, please. Conceptual portraits, styled shoots, props, costumes, in-camera effects like double exposures: if you can describe it, we can plan it. We’ll start with a call to shape the idea, then sort out the location, light and any styling together.
What if I only have a rough idea?
That’s a great place to start. Send me a few reference images or even just a feeling you’re after, and I’ll come back with ideas for how to shoot it.
